Cougars win Boswell Pioneer Run VI; Lady Cougars 2nd

The Kerr Cougar Cross Country teams traveled to Tarrant County Northeast Campus on Saturday to take part in the Boswell Pioneer Run. The Cross Country teams picked up right where they left off last year with great performances from both squads.

The lady cougars were the first to race and leading the way for the Lady Cougars in her first ever cross country race was 8th grader Sarah Trammel. Trammel lead the lady cougars with a 3rd place finish, earning herself a medal. The lady cougars placed 2nd overall out of 12 teams losing only to Arlington Classics Academy.

The Cougars were the next race and leading the way from start to finish were 8th graders Corbin Franco and Trenton Kelly. Franco and Kelly finished 1st and 2nd in the race. Not to far behind Franco and Kelly was fellow 8th Grader Jacob Meador  who finished in 8th place. The Team finished 1st overall out of 10 teams and makes it the 3rd straight meet dating back to last year the Cougars have won. 

The Cross Country teams will be back in action September 20th running in the Marcus Invitational, which is one of the largest cross country meets in the State of Texas.
